How it works
Ceramic coating, explained without the BS.
A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds to your paint at a molecular level and creates a barrier. That barrier does three things: repels water (which means dirt slides off instead of sticking), resists scratches from light contact (think tree branches and detail brushes), and locks in the gloss so the paint doesn't fade in the sun.
What ceramic coating is not: bulletproof. A coating won't stop a key, a rock chip, or a parking-lot ding. What it will do is keep your car looking new for years longer than wax ever could, and make every wash twice as easy.

Common questions about ceramic coatings.
Plain English on what the prep covers, what the warranty actually is, and what you owe.
What is ceramic coating, in plain English?
A clear, semi-permanent layer that bonds to your clear coat and protects against UV fade, bird droppings, road salt, and minor swirl marks. Makes water bead and roll off (hydrophobic), keeps the paint glossier longer, and makes washing 5x faster because dirt has nothing to grab onto.
How much does ceramic coating cost?
Three packages: 1-Year Sealant at $299 (entry-level, great for daily drivers + lease vehicles), 3-Year Coating at $799 (the sweet spot — pro-grade ceramic with full paint correction), 5-Year Coating at $1,299 (multi-layer application, full correction, gloss boost, hydrophobic top coat).
How long will my car be in your shop?
1-Year Sealant takes about 2 hours. 3-Year Coating is a full day (around 8 hours). 5-Year Coating is a 2-day job (around 16 hours of working time, plus cure time). We tell you exactly when to drop off and pick up at booking.
What's the difference between the three packages?
Sealant is a single-layer protective product that lasts about a year and doesn't require paint correction first — quick, cheap, gone in a year. The 3-Year Coating includes a full paint correction (clay-bar, light polish to remove swirl marks) before applying real ceramic — that's why it lasts so much longer. The 5-Year Coating is the same correction plus a multi-layer ceramic application plus a gloss boost plus a hydrophobic top coat.
How long does ceramic actually last?
Up to the labels on the package — 1, 3, or 5 years respectively — when you wash it correctly (no automated brush washes, microfiber towels, pH-neutral soap). Owners who skip those rules cut effective life roughly in half. We send you a one-page care sheet at handoff.
Do you guarantee the work?
Yes. If a coating fails (visible failure, water no longer beads where it should, hazing) inside its rated lifetime AND you've followed the care instructions, we re-coat the affected area at no charge. Abuse-induced failure isn't covered (pressure-washing the coat off, parking under sap-dropping trees with no maintenance).
Do I need to do anything to maintain it?
Wash with a pH-neutral car wash soap every 1–2 weeks. Avoid automatic car washes with rotating brushes. Once a year, bring it in for a 'top-up' polish ($89 add-on); it extends the effective coating life noticeably.
